December Color Challenge

Concentrated on using the colors from the December Color Challenge for Lindy’s Stamp Gang. The stamped images are from Viva Las Vegas Stamps

Lindy’s and Viva Las Vegas Stamps

This is a two-page mixed media journal spread. Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays make creating backgrounds so easy. I used Rudolf’s Red Nose and Golden Sleigh Bells as the two primary color sprays. Supporting colors were Ponderosa Pine Olive, Mystic Malachite, and Twinkling Tinsel.

The image of the cat and bunny are from Viva Las Vegas Stamps. After coloring them using watercolor pencils, I cut them out. The cat image got a little extra treatment. He was a small piece to color, but surprisingly, I was able to create several different patterns. It was way more fun than I thought it would be, large enough for variety, but small enough that I didn’t lose interest and patience.

The absLindy's Color Challengetract squares stamp from VLVS really popped when embossed with Lindy’s Stamp Gang Bougainvillea Red Teal, Scotch Broom yellow, and Fiddlehead Fern Green.  The Stencil Girl Products hand stencil was a great way to add extra interest and texture.

Enjoy the end of the year and hope to see you here again soon.

I’m entering the Lindy’s Stamp Gang December color challenge! Wish me luck.
