March, Oh How You Challenge Me

I’ve started March off with some extra focus on my art. In some ways, the yucky weather helps me be creative. I know that I don’t want to be outside and the house is a little dark so I don’t see the dirt and dust. If I can see the dirt and dust, then I think I have to do something about it! If I can’t see the dust and dirt, then it’s not there, right? Hmm, writing that out absolutely makes me like gloomy, cold, rainy days are made for creating. Today is a gloomy, cold, day, that makes today a good day for creating, right. So, before I head off to enjoy a guilt-free day in my workshop, here’s something I created using Artistic Outpost stamps for a friend that enjoys memories of the good old days.

A Gift to Be Simple – Steam The stamps I used are from two different Artistic Outpost sets. The gentleman, train station and train are from the Steampunk set. The Kudzu Boy and the words are from Kudzu Kafe.

Hope you enjoy this creation. Please leave a comment below, especially if you like this card. If you have any questions about techniques or where to get Artistic Outpost stamps, leave your question in the comments and I’ll get back to you!
I entered this card in the Frilly and Funkie Boy oh Boy! challenge. Wish me luck.

I like your collage. It's very thoughtful. I like the cold cloudy sky. The man at top looks chilled and is that a snow bank in the center? I have those sets but never thought of combining them. Nice work! xoxo

The area in the middle is just sky, but always nice when someone sees something else in my work. It makes me go back and look with new eyes. I like that you see the chill and the snow bank. Thanks so much for the comment.
