Depends on what day you check the thermometer. Even though we like to think Spring means exclusively warm, sunny days, that is not real true Spring weather. After all, according to the saying, April showers bring May flowers. Today, it is a typical Spring day in Kentucky, sunny and warm this morning, cool and rainy this afternoon. Today is a good day to create your own Spring Flowers card.

Using the dies from Sizzix’s Wildflower Stems 1 & 2 to cut out flowers was a breeze. I colored the flowers using mica sprays and alcohol inks. Seeing the Tangled Twigs die in my stash, I realized I could create
a dimensional lattice look that would allow me to weave in the long stemmed flowers. To hold all the flowers in place, I applied liquid glue with a thin nozzle.

To finish, I adhered the textured twigs and flowered base to a solid green piece of cardstock to create a finished greeting card. The Once Upon a Spring rubber stamp came from Once Upon a Springtime set from Graphic 45.
I’m entering this card in the Spring is in Full Bloom Challenge! over at the Frilly and Funkie Blog. Hop on over to check out the other entries.

Thanks for stopping by to see my creations.
This is top line art gallery quality. I rate it a first place award. Super fine from a super talented artist.
Thanks. I’m working on my techniques. I think I’ll try to get a better photograph. Maybe natural sunlight will show details and layers a little better. Thanks so much for looking.
Your piece is absolutely beautiful! You have such an amazing eye for detail!
